Kriegsmarine coastal artillery overseas cap made in occupied France

Honest and untouched M40 pattern coastal artillery 'Küsten-Artillerier' overseas cap 'Schiffchen' for enlisted men. Complete with period machine applied national insignia on the front of the cap. Small moth damages in the rear. Cotton liner, faded markings. Typical French made construction. The occupied French factories were know to have created a large number of Kriegsmarine uniforms and headgear during the war, as many naval bases were located there.
