WW1 Pair & Memorial PlaqueTo- 50215.PTE.J.W.COE.NORTH'D.FUSJohn William Coe was born in Byker & enlisted in South Shields. He was killed in action in France & Flanders 9-4-1917 serving with the 25th service battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers / 2nd Tyneside Irish. He was 31 years of age at the time of his death & having no known grave he is commemorated on the Arras memorial. The CWGC state that he was the late son of Mr. & Mrs. Coe of 45 Sidney Street, North Shields.GVF or better & complete with MIC details. Along with details from both SDGW & the CWGC & privately produced memorial scroll (The Scroll is a little tatty at the edges)
