French Pre WWI Infantry Officers Sword M1882, 1904 Mfg

Original era manufacture. Chromed steel 35.5 inch double edged blade with makers information on one side of the ricasso. The cutting edges have been intelligently sharpened for service use, no pitting or plating loss visible. Nickle finished three branch guard with a dark brown woode grip with wire binding. One wire strand has loosened. Nickel or chrome finished steel scabbard with some scattered shallow surface denting and age darkening as shown.
