Description
Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction with an iron core and the cross does still have the neat so-called: 'Hochpolierte Kanten' and just shows some minor wear and great detail overall. cross is not visible maker marked but can most likely be attributed to production by the company of 'Wilhelm Deumer' from Lüdenscheid. It comes with its original early short piece of ribbon as found. Nice original cross in very good condition!
