WWII German Police Model 1940 Double Decal Helmet, Veteran Family Acquired-We acquired this helmet from the family of the veteran who brought it home. We will supply the name and info on the vet to the purchaser of this helmet. This combat example has a field grey finish that has wear and remains about 25% intact. The left side has a bordered police decal that is 75% intact. The right side has a party shield that is 80% intact. Inside is a size stamped 56, brown leather liner that has minor wear, discoloration and scuffing from use. There is a zinc liner band that is maker marked, dated 1943 and size stamped 64/56. The rear skirt is stamped Q 64 indicating production by Quist in the size of 64. The rear skirt is also stamped with the lot number DN 37 S.A very good example overall!
