Description

British war and victory medal pair correctly named to S-23753 private John Grant of the 1/7th Fife territorial battalion, Royal Highlander, the Black Watch.The battalion was raised at St Andrews in August 1914 and served with the 153rd Brigade in 51st (Highland) Division and fought in many major engagements like the Battle of Loos, Passchendaele, and the German Spring Offensive in 1918, where they were heavily involved in actions at Louverval, where the 1/7th battalion took many casualties.More research is needed on this man, but his pair comes with copies of his medal index card and medal roll.Both medals are in very good condition and on their original ribbons.
