Description

The group is comprised of documents and a photograph which relate to the service of Machinist Mate William Ernest McNair, who served on PT 184. The group includes a photograph of the crew of PT 184 which was taken in the Pacific in March of 1944. The photograph is approximately 3-1/2 inches by 5-1/8 inches. Also with the group is McNair's certificate of completion of the Naval Training School for Machinist's Mates in November of 1942. There is also a large certificate, with a center fold line, dated February 4, 1943, attesting to McNair's completion of P.T. Boat training. There is also a large booklet on P.T. Boats, published by Elco circa late 1942. Approximately 9 inches by 12 inches, 76 pages. Finally there is a single page with McNair's name handwritten at the top, this apparently being a sheet of stationary from the P.T. Boat Training Center, and on it there is artwork for the 'U.S. Mosquito Fleet'. Overall the items are in very good condition.
