Description

Model 1915 Enlisted Man Bavarian Pickelhaube-This helmet comes with a few small liabilities that we will point out. This spiked helmet features a black lacquered leather body which has some very slight crazing and mottling. The spike is bent at the tip, so please be sure to look closely at the photos. The trim, wappen and spike are made of brass. The brass has a very nice tone and very good details to the front plate. The brown leather chinstrap is not in place on this example. The rear neck guard is also fragile and loose on this example, we have not attempted to repair this. The front visor is totally missing. This helmet has just one cockade in place on the wearer's right side. The lion heads on each side are made of toned brass and look very good. The interior is in very good condition and looks to be complete. This has a gold rayon like lining. The leather sweatband is in very good condition and remains soft and supple. A sound example overall. This will make a beautiful display piece.
