Birmingham & District Football Referees Association Badge

A rare original early turn of the 20th century 'Birmingham & District Football Referees Association lapel badge'; gilt brass red enamel horseshoe title scroll, the centre bearing an embossed enamelled shield from the 'Birmingham Coat of Arms' with a football resting in laurel sprays below; the reverse retaining an early feature circular dimpled lapel fitting. Good condition, enamel with minimal service wear, gilt finish remains bright.Height approx 34mm.
