Hereford And Worcester Health Authority Ambulance Service Cap Badge

A scarce original post 1974 period 'Hereford & Worcester Health Area Authority Ambulance Service uniform hat badge', in the form of a chromium plated shield with embossed red enamel titles and combined County of Hereford and Worcester shield to centre bearing the 'Herefordshire Bull's Head' three 'Worcestershire Pears' and wavy bar. Very good condition, complete with original two loop fittings and split pin, no stress marks or damage to the enamel.Height approx 37mm.On the 1st April 1974 Worcestershire merged with Herefordshire to form the County of Hereford and Worcester.
