Beautiful M40 Luftwaffe helmet with period applied half basket chickenwire net. The helmet is marked ET64 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke Thüringen. The helmet retains its factory installed liner and chinstrap markedWilhelm Eiler Bielefeld 1941.The helmet is named Gefreiter Eggert in the neck. The helmet retains its wartime installed smal meshed chickenwire helmet netting in a half basket configuration. The helmet retains its original factory paint and decal which has been camouflaged with green and red which has mostly worn of. The helmet was originally found in France. The helmet is a beautiful untouched example with a lot of natural patina!
