Vintage Franklin Mint – The Discovery Hourglass

Issued in 1992 to commemorate 500th anniversary of the discovery of America, 1492-1992, commissioned by the National Maritime Historical Society and made by Franklin Mint, it is constructed from solid brass with a wood base, this example which is in excellent condition has a travelling handle to flip the hourglass over, it comes in its original packing box and is complete with its certificate of authenticity, it stands approx. 10 inches high.
