RAF No124 Baroda Spitfire Fighter Squadron 1944 Hm Silver Wartime Badge

A very rare Second World War 'RAF No 124 Squadron badge, depicting the outline of a 'Mongoose' with blue enamel title scroll below 'Baroda Squadron', the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1944 and maker's details 'T.F' (Thomas Fattorini). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel.Width approx 36mm.Height 18mm.Due to heavy construction and stout pin fitting it is possible following the practice of other Fighter Squadrons this badge was worn unofficially on the Service Dress or Battledress Uniform.
