Unusual Moulded Elephant Head Celluloid Letter Opener c1930

Here on offer is an unusual moulded Elephant head celluloid letter opener, circa 1930.The top handle section depicts the detailed image of one side of an elephant's head, which has a dark grey finish, which looks almost like metal. It has a celluloid tusk securely glued in place, making the head look very realistic.The flat blade section is still straight and is in excellent undamaged condition.This piece is hard to date and it doesn't have any maker's details, but I would say it was probably made around 1930's, possibly in Germany?It measures 9.5' (24.2cm) long end to end ant it weighs 18g.Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description.Please see my TERMS OF BUSINESS regarding Deliver Charges and Insurance regarding additional insurance cover, should you require it, BEFORE the item is dispatched.The responsibility lies with the customer to check with your Customs restrictions that this item can be imported into your country.
