German WW1 Scapa Flow Souvenir Torpedo Boat Gauge Plate

A nicely attributed souvenir from the scuttling of German Naval vessels in Scapa Flow at the end of the Great War. Bakelite disc with an applied brass plaque for Handor Steam operation. Hand painted additions 'V81' and 'Scapa Flow V.II.XX'. 120mm diameter.The V81 was one of the Kaiserliche Marines large Torpedo boats built by Vulcan , Hamburg. Laid down in 1915 and launched in May 1916 she was interned on armistice day 1918 , beached and later and delivered to the UK in October 1920.
