Description
Here on offer is a scarce silver plated King Edward VII 'Pop Out' repousse relief, penny coin brooch. This brooch has been made from a genuine Victorian English penny, dated 1900, that has the 3D bust of Edward VII pushed through the center, creating a 'Pop Out' repousse image, that was popular in the early Edwardian period. It is in excellent condition, still retaining most of the silver plating on the front, with just some slight loss on the back.My understanding is that the coin was hand stamped in repousse relief via a patented method and labelled as such on the reverse with a small plaque bar, stamped with date of Nov. 22 1904, to comply with regulations about currency being converted into jewellery. The brooch still has a fixing pin and clasp on the reverse. It measures 1.2' (3cm) diameter by 0.35' (0.9cm) thick. It weighs 11.5g.Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description. Please see my TERMS OF BUSINESS regarding Deliver Charges and Insurance regarding additional insurance cover, should you require it, BEFORE the item is dispatched. The responsibility lies with the customer to check with your Customs restrictions that this item can be imported into your country.Thank you for taking the time to look.
