Falaise-Recovered M40 Q SS With Camo Cover

This is a relic Quist SS helmet and cover, reportedly found in a barn in Falaise, Normandy. This helmet has been curated for years by a noted European author and collector, who is now making it available. (it will ship from the E.U.) The helmet shows much patina and wear, but retains its liner and old-style M31 strap, a majority of the finish, and about 20% of the SS runic shield (presumably Quist pattern, as there are no additional paint finishes besides the factory schiefergrau. The helmet cover presents very well and retains all its clips. the camo pattern is discernable (plain tree?), and despite some tatters and a mouse chew or two, is no doubt the companion to this helmet since the day the SS soldier gave it up.
