Description
Heavy worn M35 Luftwaffe helmet that once started as an early double decal example, with first pattern 'droop tail' eagle decal on the left and tri color shield on the right. Helmet was factory reissued receiving a new coating of rough paint, and a new liner in ca. 1942. With wear and time, the rough coating got worn off and the decals underneath got exposed again, I also believe a collector dug them out a bit. The chin strap is present but repaired in the middle. The tip shows a manufacturer. A worn, but original, German steel helmet. Markings ET62 – 3589.
