Description

Denazified Kriegsmarine Minesweeper War Badge (Kriegsabzeichen für Minensuch-, U-Boot-Jagd und Sicherungsverbände). The Minesweeper's war badge was instituted on 31 August 1940 by Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine und Großadmiral 'Erich Raeder'. The badge is a late war 'Zink' example, the badge is showing great detail and still retains a fair amont of its original finish. The badge is complete with its functional horizontal pin and catch and top hook. The badge is not visible maker marked but can be attributed to production by the company of 'Wilhelm Deumer' from Lüdenscheid. Regrettably the swastika has been denazified. Still a nice original Kriegsmarine badge in good worn condition!
