WWII German Canteen with Bakelite Cup

WWII German Canteen with Bakelite Cup-Very good example of a field canteen, with a brown felt cover over the aluminum body. This example has the black bakelite cup. The black smooth leather straps are intact and in good shape. The main strap has stiffened by buckle so we did not loosen. The spring clip works great with a D ring and loop. The brown felt covering is in good condition with some moth tracking. All of the snaps are in place and functional. The bakelite cup is present and nicely marked with the GFC code (Julius Posselt, Gablonz an der Neisse, Sudetenland) and 1942 dated. The bakelite screw cap is in place with cork seal. The aluminum canteen is marked on throat MN 42. This is a good example ready to add to your kit!
