WWII Japanese Battle Damaged Canteen Souvenir

WWII Japanese Battle Damaged Canteen Souvenir-This canteen was picked up by a US soldier of the battle field.It exhibits one shrapnel puncture on one side.On the other the shrapnel did not exit but left an outward dent.The canteen is missing the outer cary harnesses and cap.It is marked on bottom. This is one of those items we wished it could talk and tell us where and how!
