The uniform group is comprised of the four pocket belted 'chocolate' officer tunic; the green officer trousers; the officer's wool khaki colored shirt; the necktie; a khaki cotton officer overseas cap; a khaki colored wool officer overseas cap; an olive wool officer overseas cap; an Army officer visor cap with khaki top; and a field grade officer visor cap with white top. The belted uniform tunic is very clean, without holes, damage or repairs. The collar lapels have 'U.S.' officer insignia as well as the insignia of an officer of the Army Finance Corps. The shoulders have the pin back rank insignia of a Lieutenant Colonel. On the left shoulder is a splendid Army Air Force patch rendered in bullion embroidery on silk. The lower left sleeve carries a single World War I overseas service chevron. The interior retains tailor labels, with the interior pocket have the name label which identifies the owner as 'D.S. Cushman Major F.D. [Finance Department]. The label states the size of the tunic as 40 Short. The dark green wool trousers also retain a tailor label on the interior, with the handwritten name of 'Major D.S. Cushman'. The trousers are in excellent condition, without holes or damage. The wool oficer shirt similarly bears a handwritten name tag for 'D.S. Cushman'. The olive wool officer overseas cap has a pin back silver oak leaf for the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, with the name 'D.S. Cushman' written inside, together with a size tag of 7-3/8. The wool cap is quite clean. Both of the khaki overseas caps are named to Cushman and they are also marked as size &-3/8. The khaki top visor cap shows age toning and some spots, but it is complete, intact, and in overall good used condition. The interior has affixed to the celluloid lining the calling card of 'David Stewart Cushman' as a Major in the U.S. Army. The white top of the field grade officer visor cap displays stains and soiling. The interior has the calling card of 'David Stewart Cushman' as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army. Overall the group is in very good condition, and it comprises a fine, identified Army Air Force officer uniform group in the rather scarce branch of the Army Finance Corps.
