M40 army (Heer) reissued single decal steel helmet ET64

M40 German steel helmet, reissued example ca. 1942. This helmet, was factory reissued during the war, started as an early produced single decal Army/SS or Kriegsmarine helmet, receiving a new thick rough field green layer of paint and a new decal. The decal is a textbook example that I like to see on reissued helmets, being produced by Methner and Burger (Grey lined eagle). It shows sharp details and remains partially intact. The helmet is complete with its original liner and you can clearly see the split pins are untouched and straight. The leather itself is supple and remains in very good condition, having a size mark 56. The helmet is complete with its full length draw string. Shell markings ET64 and 328. A beautiful mid war army steel helmet!
