Brazilian M1904 Mauser-Vergueiro Rifle Bayonet, Kiesling 905

Original period manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 17.5 inches in length with Brazilian Military Police proof (FPDF) on the ricasso. Kiesling reports that these were purchased in small quantities from the German firm of DWM. Steel patina finish to the blade, it has not been sharpened, touch of corrosion pitting on the spine near the guard. Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, decent wood grips showing normal age and wear, serial number 193 on the guard. Comes with this steel scabbard, not sure if it is the correct one for the bayonet but it fits perfectly. Scarce bayonet evidently.
