The visor is named to Leutnant Bantleon, Gerhard from the 1st company of infantrie-regiment 59 – a unit that saw a lot of action in May 1940 in Belgium and France, with a name tag in the sweat diamond. The visor retains its original national insignia up front; a detailed aluminum eagle and a cocarde. Void of major damages, solid piece and great look!Lt Gerhard Bantleon, born the 25.08.1915 in Süßingen near Göppingen. He died as Lt in the 3rd Company of Infantry Regiment 111 because of Artillery fracments to the Head and the Hip on the 07.01.1942 near Posadinki. His EKM was 1st Company Infantry Reserve Battalion 59, number 3.
