US WW2 Army 2nd Infantry Division 'Indian Head' Sleeve Patch

Original World War II U.S. Army Indian Head insignia, machine embroidered on dark wool backing. The patch features a cream-colored five-pointed star with a red and blue Indian head at center, a well-known wartime U.S. Army design associated with stateside commands, training, and replacement formations during the Second World War. Construction, materials, and embroidery are fully consistent with wartime manufacture (circa 1942–1945). This is a period example, not a postwar or modern reproduction. Condition is good, showing clear period wear and edge fraying from removal, as commonly encountered on original uniform-removed patches. Embroidery remains strong with good color definition.
