Named and Cased WWII Japanese Navy Officer Visor Cap

Available
$375.00

Description

The visor cap has a dark blue wool body with black cap band, and the cap retains its removable white cotton cover for summer wear. The leather visor exhibits minor typical age crazing and edge scuffs. The front of the cap displays the bullion and metal insignia of an officer of the Imperial Japanese Navy. The interior leather sweatband is intact, as is the purple silk lining, both showing signs of wear. The interior has a tag which bears the name 'Takano'. The cap is contained within its hard carrying case, which has two closure latches that do not function. The interior of the case still contains two pieces of paper with Japanese printing. Overall the cap is in excellent condition.
