Description
This original Hitlerjugend winter tunic is a fine and increasingly rare example of an RZM-marked HJ winter blouse, preserved in very good overall condition. Constructed from heavy dark-blue wool cloth, this tunic was intended for cold-weather wear and shows only light, honest use. There is minor wear visible on some areas, consistent with age and light wear, but no damage. All original buttons are present and correct, and the tunic retains an excellent overall appearance.Inside, the tunic is clearly marked with an original RZM label, confirming regulated production and authenticity. A size label '44' is also present, making this an ideal size for mannequin display, which further enhances its desirability for collectors and displays. The interior remains clean and well preserved, reinforcing the impression of a lightly worn example rather than a heavily used garment. The original Hitlerjugend armband is still present and factory-sewn to the left sleeve. As often encountered on genuine examples, the armband is not sewn fully around the sleeve; this is a well-known period characteristic, as armbands were sometimes supplied slightly short and attached accordingly. The armband itself is a correct flat-woven BeVo type and shows matching age and patina to the tunic, clearly original to the garment. The shoulder boards are piped in blue and marked '452,' which is commonly associated with Flieger-Hitlerjugend units. The blue piping is widely accepted as indicating aviation-related HJ formations, particularly those involved in glider and pre-flight training. This interpretation aligns well with known Flieger-HJ insignia conventions and adds an extra layer of historical interest to the piece.Overall, this is a highly attractive and increasingly scarce Hitlerjugend winter tunic with strong originality, desirable markings, and excellent display potential. Complete examples with RZM labels, original armbands, matching shoulder boards, and good mannequin size are becoming very difficult to find. An outstanding piece for an advanced Hitlerjugend or Third Reich youth organization collection.
