1939-45 Star, France & Germany Star, Defence Medal, 1939-45 War Medal with M.I.D Oakleaf & GVIR 1st type efficiency medal with Territorial SuspenderTo- 3189685.PTE.V.OLIVER.K.O.S.BValentine Oliver from Hawick served with the 1/4th battalion of the K.O.S.B & was wounded in North West Europe 22-12-1944. This was reported in the war office casualty list dated 4-1-1945. He went on to be mentioned in despatches for services in North West Europe in the London gazette dated 4-4-1946 & was awarded his efficiency medal in army order 134 of 1946.
