BRD : West German Peaked-cap for a Member of a Shooting Organisation.

White linen cap with white plastic-covered visor. The cap-band is a very nice silk ribbon in the old Imperial black / white / red colours and the chinstrap consists of twisted/woven cords in the Imperial colours secured by two gilt pebbled buttons. The front of the cap has a shooting association gilt & enamel badge pinned in place. The inside is unlined but has a grey leather sweatband. Pinned on the side of the cap, are two identical printed silk ribbons bearing 'St. Johannes-Schützen-bruder-schaft 1749 e.V Nieder-Burgheim (Möhne) 1971'. There is also a tag bearing 'M.Filter, Festbedarf Paderborn'.Excellent condition with only very minor handling marks. (Note: this cap is similar to those worn by the German 1936 Olympics team).
