WW1 1914 Star trio & Memorial Plaque, Complete with the box of issue for the 1914 star, the box & inner envelope for the memorial plaque & the original forwarding letter for the 1914 star To- 5/9905.PTE.H.PITTOWAY / PITTAWAY.RIF.BRIG.Henry Pittaway was born in Fulham & enlisted in New Cross, Surrey whilst living in East Dulwich. He first landed in France 11-9-1914 & was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 27-4-1915 whilst servng with the 1st battalion of the Rifle Brigade. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Menin Gate at Ypres.EF/MINT & Complete with MIC details. Along with details from both SDGW & the CWGC.Please not the recipients surname is spelt as Pittoway on the 1914 star & Pittaway on the pair.
