Swiss Schmidt-Rubin 1889 Bayonet.

This would appear to be an untouched example still held in its leather frog. The blade has a dark finish from patina with an un-sharpened cutting edge, full tip and a clear makers stamp. The cross guard and pommel has the same dark finish with a working fixing button and stamped numbers to the guard. Both wooden grips plates are clean and without chips or bruising. The metal scabbard has all its finish with just a couple of minor knocks that are hard to make out other than when ''in hand''. Scabbard is held in its period leather frog thats complete , supple and maker stamped with a 1888 date stamp.NOT FOR SALE TO UNDER 18'S AND UK ONLY. PROOF OF AGE WILL BE REQUIRED.
