Attributed 82nd Airborne 'Ike Jacket'

Sold
$570.00

Description

This outstanding piece has the full history of its former owner, Sgt. of Infantry Orbie M. King, service company, 508th PIR. The jacket is a large size standard Ike, with a fine original-sewn 82nd Abn Div patch on the left sleeve, jump wings, CIB–and along with Orbie's campaign stars, an arrowhead, signifying probably a combat jump. On the lower left sleeve are his combat bars and one stripe for 2 years' service. His last initial and last 4 of his service number are stamped inside the back of the jacket. Overall a very sharp and historic artifact of one of the brave 508th troopers. COA accompanies. (also included the complete compendium of King's service information.)
