Japanese Meiji Era Russo Japanese War Infantry Officers Visor Hat

Original era manufacture. Pattern 1886 hat with a shorter crown, dark blue top with a yellow wool band and piping. Black patent leather chinstrap & visor with a bound edge. Brown leather sweatband with silk ribbon trim, floral pattern cotton lining. The hat shows some moth nibbling on the front edge just above the visor and a few small moth bites on the yellow wool band. The hat has been pushed down so the band is a bit rumpled but this can be easily fixed for display. Sound and clean hat overall.
