Heer M42 single decal helmet, showing light service use and with scuffs and chips to the paint, mostly to the top dome, the factory paint coverage would rate 90-95%, the Heer single decal is slightly tilted with some light abrading to the swastika, the helmet pins have most of their paint, the right side pin is slightly loose, pins have their washers and have not been touched, having steel liner bands, the tan colored leather is stamped size 57, the liner drawstring has not been untied, with a full length length pigskin chinstrap, shell is stamped ET64, lot number 1520, helmet was purchased directly by the consignor from the family of a U.S. Army 145th Signal Armored Corps veteran who was said to have removed it from a dead soldier, U.S. soldier's group photo and name will be provided to the buyer, USD $1685
