Description
Nice Luftwaffe M40 single decal helmet, shell stamped ET62, lot number 914, shell is factory painted in rough textured blue grey color, finish is quite with just a few scuff and abrasions to the paint, the single decal is bright and would rate about 90%, the pins have most of their paint with the right side pin showing more chipping, the steel liner band and washer pins have not been disturbed, the red brown colored leather liner is stamped size 55, there is some chafing to the leather's edge at the forehead position but all fingers are sound, lacks liner string and chinstrap, very clean, consignor purchased the helmet directly from the niece of an American veteran, USD $1285
