Royal Navy HMS Birmingham ships crest sweetheart brooch

A good original circa 1940's period 'H.M.S. Birmingham sweetheart pin badge'; gilt metal example in the form of a blue and white enamel ship's crest hung from a laurel leaf suspension bar. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, gilt finish remains bright.Height approx 32mm.HMS Birmingham was a Town-class light cruiser launched in 1936 and broken up in 1960.
