The shorter dress bayonets were thought to be worn by NCO's etc whist the long ones were used by Other Ranks. This is a lovely example with heavily nickel plated hilt. Honey coloured stag grips with a green felt plug in the mortice slot. Original black parade frog. Nice paint to the scabbard body. The blade is a carbine short type with false edge. It is in mint condition and stamped with the Ernst Pack & Sohn distinctive trademark.
