Complete with silvered furniture of spike, rose head bosses supporting a silvered interlinked chin chain with velvet backing.The unit was formed in 1861 HQ at Margam, Taibach. It had up to 20 corps between 1861-1878. In 1896 the HQ moved to Bridgend with corps at Margam, Swansea,Taibach, Cwm Avon,Bridgend, Neath and Cowbridge. The badge in silver or Silver plate. Silver star plat with Prince of Wale's feathers to top, 1st Glamorgam Rifle Volunteer Corps to strap and a burning castle to centre
