German WWII Late War SS Eagle-This is very late war, and is in the screen printed variant. These would be worn on the sleeve by enlisted men and NCOs. We have four of these and the one you receive will be as good if not better than the one in the photo. These are all in excellent condition.Now let me tell you how Bill acquired these. 40 years ago, a friend of his named Joe Sweeny had to drive his wife to a fabric store in Springfield Massachusetts. He didn't want to go into the fabric store, but he didn't want to wait in the car either, so he went in with his wife while she browsed fabric. As she was looking through fabric samples, he spotted a black sheet, with 500 printed SS eagles on it. It was priced $35! Of course, he was so excited that he didn't wait in the car that day.Joe spent 20 years selling these eagles individually. Bill bought 125 of them and sold all of them. These are a few that we were able to buy back over time. We are now offering them to you, with a great story.
