German WWII Edelweiss Gebirgsjäger Patch

German WWII Edelweiss Gebirgsjäger Patch-This is an army shield that would have been worn on the right of Army Mountain Troopers (Gebirgsjäger). This is a heavy machine embroidered Edelweiss mountain flower with white petals, golden yellow stamen and green leaves. There is a light grey machine woven 'chain' around the edge. This sits on a dark green wool badge cloth. This was removed from a tunic, you can see where this was stitched onto the sleeve, see the edges in the photos to see what I am talking about. This shows some age toning, but is in good condition.
