Luftwaffe 10-30 B-2 Schwimmveste ( Life Preserver ) 1941

A very good captured example of the Luftwaffe Model 10-30 B-2 backless inflatable schwimmveste .This fascinating piece of history has been captured by a member of the Royal Navy & has his name & unit markings 'DT Davies D/MX 67021' handwritte to left breast. One can only imagine the circumstances in which this Life Preserver was acquired however not beyond the realms of possibility that the original wearer was pulled from the sea . Made of yellow rubberised canvas it has stole type inflation chamber to the front & neck area . Securing straps fasten across the chest with the use of rings thesein conjunction with a waistbelt & groin strap. The metal inflation air bottle has a housing to the bottom left corner with a canvas loop to hold it & nut arrangement to fasten it for use.***THE CORRECT ORIGINAL BOTTLE THAT CAME WITH THIS WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE SALE TO UK MAINLAND BUYERS ONLY, WE ARE UNABLE TO SEND OVERSEAS OR TO SCOTLAND OR IRELAND ***The maker label is very visible to the rear yoke section giving date & maker code as 'byd' with a date of 1941. A scarce piece & in excellent condition.
