You are bidding on a GOOD set of WW1 Imperial German/Prussian Fliegertruppe Pilot Goggles! These were used by both pilots and motorized troops throughout the war.Early military flight goggles were developed out of necessity with the emergence of powered aircraft during WW1. German pilots relied on a wide range of private-purchase and semi-issued goggles, often produced by small optical or leather firms rather than a single standardized manufacturer. As a result, many original WW1 goggles are unmarked, with identification based on construction, materials, and period style rather than maker stamps.This set of Flight goggles is in NICE used condition! Similar to the British RFC design, they retain their original lenses and metal frames, however the leather padding shows significant age, drying, and deterioration, consistent with over 100 years of age. The elastic strap is present but heavily fatigued and broken at one end. No repairs or restoration have been attempted. A genuine and untouched WW1 German aviation accessory, ideal for display, reference, or an advanced Imperial German collection!
