US M-1 Helmet, Original WWII, Vietnam Reissue, Camouflage-This is an original WWII helmet that was used in Vietnam and probably Korea for that matter. There is a Vietnam era reversible cover that has some wear and discoloration from use, a good thing. The shell is a front seam, fixed bale example with a majority of the original green exterior finish remaining intact. There is a distinct camouflage finish as well, it has wear but it is definitely there! The OD 3 fixed chinstrap has steel hardware. It does shoe wear and looks to be repaired/reattached. The finish to the interior of the shell is very worn. The liner also retains a majority of the exterior finish. It is a WWII liner produced by Firestone. The suspension is mostly WWII with the headband and nape strap Vietnam era components. The leather chinstrap is present. A great example overall that is one of those that we wish could talk!
