This SPECIFIC relic came from the wreck of a late-war Me109 G10/U4, that was downed over Germany. I will provide the loss info to the winning bidder.This grouping consists of the tailplane mounting and attachment components used to secure the wooden horizontal stabilizer to the rear fuselage structure. These parts correspond to items 109.351-035 H 004 (parts 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25) as shown on the original factory parts list. This configuration was specific to late-war Me109 G-10 and K-4 models, which utilized a wooden horizontal stabilizer rather than the earlier metal type. These fittings represent the complete attachment set for that installation.Made of steel, this set is in EXCELLENT relic condition! Some slight surface corrosion, oxidation, and wear, as they came from a wreck. I cleaned most of the corrosion from them at one time, as they were quite dirty. Threads are good. A small section of wood from the original stabilizer is still present. Could use some restoration, so not tested or guaranteed for airworthy use. I have shown the exact location in the last images. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, display!
