Kriegsmarine M35 SD Helmet - War Souvenir

A single decal M35 Kriegsmarine helmet with war souvenir annotation on the liner. detailing its capture by a US soldier. Small size (62) helmet, dark green paint inside and out with age wear. Screw-in vents. Faint remains of gold national decal. Inner skirt stamped with batch number 1667 and make and size stamp SE62. Hide liner in good condition on which is written an annotation suggesting the helmet was taken from a prisoner in North Africa in June 1942 by an AD Mapstone of the US 3rd Army. Some of the writing is not clear.
