WVS East Riding of Yorkshire Civil Defence insignia.

WW2 WVS Civil Defence insignia grouping for the East Riding of Yorkshire. Arm badge and area title embroidered on felt which replaced flannel from 1941 due to wartime shortages. The badge and title were worn low on the sleeve although the arm badge does appear both as a breast and beret/hat badge. Accompanied by war service chevrons and a loop of maroon crepe ribbon that formed the ribbon on the WVS hat. All items in unmothed condition with clear signs of having been removed from a uniform.
