Description

The Ike jacket was tailored from a four pocket officer's tunic. The lapels have 'U.S.' and Army Air Force officer insignia. The shoulder bear pin back Captain rank insignia. On the left shoulder is a bullion patch of the Army Air Force. On the right breast is the clutch back ribbon for the Presidential Unit Citation. The lower left sleeve carries five bullion overseas service chevrons. On the upper left breast are sewn ribbons for the American Defense Medal; the U.S. Army Good Conduct Medal; the American Campaign Medal; the European Campaign Medal with four campaign stars; the World War II Victory Medal; and the World War II Occupation Medal. Above the ribbons is a full size, pin back, pilot wing by the L.G. Balfour Company, showing a dark and uncleaned patina. Overall the jacket is in excellent condition.
