Description
This original Craig-Martin brushless shaving cream is a fine example of a personal hygiene item used by the American soldier during World War II. Brushless shaving creams were widely issued by the U.S. Army because they could be applied directly by hand, making them highly practical for use in the field and under combat conditions. The mentholated version offered a refreshing cooling effect, which was especially appreciated by soldiers serving in warmer climates. This set is complete with its original cardboard box and aluminium tube, both of which have survived in very good condition. The tube remains unopened and still contains its original contents, making this a desirable New Old Stock example. Items like this were commonly carried in a soldier's toiletry roll and form an authentic detail for any US World War II display or mannequin.
