WWII German Kriegsmarine Side Cap with Device-This cap has a zinc device pinned on the left flap that identifies the wearer as a member of the 7thPatrol Boat Florilla. The cap is produced in dark navy blue wool. There is wear throughout, along with some discoloration, a few holes and small repairs. This is a salty dog! The gold over blue eagle is machine embroidered and hand applied. The cockade is machine woven and also hand applied. The interior is fully lined in black cotton that has some wear from use. There is a safety pin inside that was used to help the hat keep its shape. Also seen is a name tag with stitched red script that reads 'P. Sch'. The cap is a size 55. Sound and interesting!
